Ross Barkley

Ha, I know it's an evil hypothetical. But it's food for thought. Anytime an Everton player wants to go, he goes. But if Hermet Crab FC didn hold onto Suarez they would be mid table for sure.
I think dressing room harmony is so important to us, because its a smallish group, that you can't afford to ignore a player requesting to leave, as it would cause such a lot of friction.

As soon as Martinez hears Barkley wants away he'll order him into his office and tell him to stop being such a silly bugger. Barkley will realise he's being daft and he'll continue to be boss sitting on his massive 7 year contract wondering what came over him to want away from his boyhood club and a manager with an eye for boss footwear.

With all the Ross hypotheticals flyin around just thought I'd ask.....

I actually think he'd make a pretty good CF, sort of a cross between Rooney and Shearer, think about it great first touch, eye for a pass and strength to hold off defenders an bring others into it. Good turn of pace, can beat a man, powerful shot etc and with his clear football intelligence and excellent technical ability I reckon he could learn the position and adapt quickly. Obviously he's doing a great job where he is and this is just speculation but what do you guys think? Could he do a job? Would it be a great move or a criminal waste?

I'd actually like to see Barkley played at the back, at centre half, storming out from the back like a modern day Beckenbauer crossed with Ballack.

Has anyone else imagined this ?

any word on his recovery? I noticed a fan pic on twitter from Tenerife of Ross and he wasn't wearing any sort of protective boot. Hoping he'll be fully fit for the derby.
