lets be honest, no way we could have developed barkley and rodwell this season, both needs games to develop and Rodwell not come on in the last 3 years for us, and this way Barkley will get more playing time this season.

We have space for 3 central midfielders, Gibson is injured, Fellaini might be injured and Neville and Heitinga are both poor defensive midfielders. We could have kept both players and given both of them a large amount of game time.

the thoughts of getting 20 million for Rodwell and not buying well with it, and watching Neville and Johnny H in midfield this season
would make you sick to think of it, whats worse is if Barkley does do well this season he will be off also next season

Lets hope so, would of preferred to keep him tho. Hope Moyes is given most of it to bolster the squad because I shudder at the thought of an injury to either Gibbo or Felli leaving us with Neville at centre mid most of the season.
