I do agree to a degree but they can still only field one starting eleven and if we get Besic and Lukaku and play a diamond (or 3 at the back, depending on what you like to call it) I think we will have a starting eleven as good as anyone.

Lets see what team we have after the window shuts and go from there.

Love how Besic is regarded as a world class talent now. When he was linked with Swansea last week, nobody batted an eyelid. It will take a monumental effort to finish top 4 given the way the others are improving their squads.

No. Disagree. Its less risky to compete over a league campaign than to put all your eggs into a knockout competition.

Martinez has simply said he's excited. Either way.
It's gonna take 80 point to make 4th place I fear. We don't have that kind of quality.

I don't think all the other teams have improved.

Utd will be about the same as RVP will be a year older and Rooney looks shot although their defence will be stronger which was their main weakness last season.
Spurs are standing still if not going backwards.
Liverpool will be far worse off after losing Suarez, it doesn't matter how many they buy. They'll still start more or less the same team minus him.

City, Arsenal and Chelsea will be fighting it out for the big prize and at the moment it looks like being between Arsenal and Chelsea.

4th is definitely still a possibility but we need a good window.

This will get a huge negative response, but why do I get the feeling Ross will be sold this summer

One big name seems to leave us every year and he could be the man. We always seem to have to recoup any transfer fees. I hope it's not the case

Dont be soft, he isnt going at all, its a new era now at Eveton, we only sold Felliani last year because the money was crazy and Roberto must of known we didnt really need him, but we dont have any surplus players worth top coin right now.

The days of having to worry every window have gone, the only worry is leaving it late to get new players in, with having a hard start to the season, but im sure Roberto can do his work without the stuttering we seen under Moyes.

Nope

The chances of him joining City are, let's face it, slim to none yet Sky are intent on peddling it like mad today it seems. They're never arsed when we're genuinely linked to other players, yet as soon as an important player leaving us for a "bigger" club is even slightly rumoured it's plastered all over the place. Highly irritating.

Agree with this, where is the story linking us with buying Lukaku? Which is far more likely than Ross leaving Everton (he isnt), but its not news worthy unless its someone going from Goodison, pathetic

We are victims of the media in my eyes, hate how we never get credit for anything but they always flourish on a story that could lets say 'hurt' us, e.g. this current nonsense they are coming out with...

Don't know why but i can see him struggling a bit this season. I don't think he'll be [Poor language removed], but i think teams will know exactly what he likes and cut any space behind for him to run into. In the long run for his development it could well be a great one for him, learning to get into space when none is given easily is the hardest thing for a number 10.

All this media talk about Ross going to City is actually giving me a bit more hope that he's going to sign his contract soon as I suspect it's just the game the agents play.

Not being funny but City need to do a huge offload for the Financial fair play. The papers doing a lazy job as well will say xyz player will be a sweetener.
