Link it up then mate.

Why do you keep ducking my question of you having an obsession with Barkley?

I have answered your question... I don't have an obsession with Barkley . I just write a lot about him in the Barkley thread becuase when I say I don't rate him and say that it seems he's not got the mentality... and I say he reminds me of the way Jack Wilshire was hyped and never progressed ... I get so many people responding . And becuase I don't like to "duck the question" I reply to them all.

And I don't link it becuase I am worse than useless on computers and phones and don't know how to.

Would you say you can assess Barkley better than someone like Wayne Rooney mate?

It was something along the lines of "there is a concern in the England camp that he is uncoachable "

It wasn't uncoachable like Messi ...
It's been brought up numerous times by the regulars on Sunday Supplement that a prominent figure within the England setup considers Barkley to be 'uncoachable', with a strong suggestion that the person is Southgate.

For the most part, it's been done within the context of comparing him favourably with the likes of Hoddle and Le Tissier, who were consistently overlooked throughout their respective careers.

I wouldn't say that any of them regard Barkley as a potential saviour, but he does seem to be well regarded amongst the national press.

'uncoachable'? Sounds like the kind of thing poor coaches would say.....Warnock, Hodgson, Southgate, England set up? No, maybe not.

Only in the minds of some of our fans who will always defend a local lad regardless of how good he actually is.
Unfair mate. Name me another Everton player who had 22 England caps by the time they were 22. Even Alan Ball, who many consider the greatest player ever to wear Everton blue, took longer to get as many caps, and most of those were when he played for Blackpool.

When he first broke through, a lot of fans thought he was the future of England, not just the "deluded local Everton fans". @Pseudonym pretty much called it in his post above. For whatever reason the lad never progressed and, if he does leave as looks likely, I personally hope he never will, as I'd absolutely hate to see him strutting it for another team. But that doesn't mean that, managed properly, he couldn't have been an Everton great and I, for one, think it's a great shame that he never will.

Apparently Tottenham are cooling their interest in Ross

Tottenham are cooling their interest in Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

The England international was left behind from Everton's trip to Tanzania last week with the club citing a groin injury. The 23-year-old with one year left on contract has been keen to resolve his future and has so far failed to agree terms on a new deal at Everton as he looks for over £120,000 a week.

However, despite an expected push from Tottenham in the wake of their Kyle Walker windfall, they are opting not to pursue Barkley at this stage.
