There clearly is a personality clash but I doubt we will ever know precisely what has been said. I hoped, unlike many fellow posters, that Ross would leave for another club for a decent fee and we (Barkley included) could put this to bed. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened and whether Moshiri, the board, RonKo or Barkley think he has a future here I think there would be a fairly robust negative reaction if Barkley were to appear in any capacity at Goodison without having signed a deal first. So we are left paying someone £60K a week (or whatever large sum he is paid) for a player who, in my view anyway, can't be picked even after he recovers from his injury. Sad end, really.TBF I'm pretty certain that Joyce did an article saying that Barkley wasn't happy with Koeman and I trust him. I'm interested in the mindset of Barkley or a fan who can/do get so upset by what Koeman has said. The wait for the quotes goes on, it must have been incredibly harsh.
I think eventually, something has to come out about it - whether Koeman gets annoyed with the situation or Barkley has to explain, like Koeman alluded to, say he's decided to stay or something.
However, Koeman's quote made it seem like Barkleys told him again he's leaving in January and that's that.
Apologies i didn't realise to someone pointed it out i should've checked the links before posting I'm in work was a quick Google search i can't see a option to edit or delete my badMate, don't post that last rag on this site please.
I took his comments yesterday (Koemi) as saying that Ross and him have had a decent chat and Ross explained the situation. There may be hope for us yet.
It is. I hoped that he would stay, but it's clear as day the deal is in place for Barkley to go to Spurs, why else was he in London last Thursday with his agent? It clearly wasn't to sign for Chelsea. There clearly is a personality clash but I doubt we will ever know precisely what has been said. I suppose if Barkley does leave (which I agree is a practical certainty) then he might have a moan at Koeman in the press. Even then we would only get one side because I doubt Koeman will be arsed to reply. It is. Levy was never going to get into a auction with Chelsea over a player who won't be fit until Christmas, he's been told to sit it out and that in turn has cost us potentially £20m. Which IMO makes him worse than Barmby.
But the whole story has been over Koemans public criticism, I'm still very interested to see what Ross' little sweetheart and some fans have been so awfully offended over.
I doubt the quotes will ever come out, which in a way is a victory for Koeman.

Getting his best mate on to back him up in the media.
