From Rhino's press conference, it sounded to me like he's most likely to be off. Hopefully he can be talked around but I think it's too much water under the bridge now. Travesty if he leaves, certainly for a tiny fraction of his market value.

I got the impression more that he may stay rather than leave. Quote "I know he loves Everton" other signs like postings on instagram and twitter as well as an article on the club website. If Barkley has made up his mind to leave and the club are aware then I would have expected no news or social media interaction today.

I don't agree with your 'performance merited' jibe but, if you want to make it about money, in Jan we would get about £10mill for a player worth a lot more more than Gylfi?
Give him him the £10mill and he's instantly made us at least £40mill.
If it's about wages, pay him because he's our best player.
