I'm English. I like our younger players to be recognised at International level as I believe it helps their development. However I have reservations about the full squad because I believe our players either get a bit of a raw deal by the southern based media, or they have their heads turned whilst on International duty. In recent years Baines, Jags and Ross have all been treated very unfairly IMO.

I wouldn't expect you to give a flying one about England mate. But how would you feel if Davies was born in your neck of the woods?. I know from your posts that you are one of our younger posters, so you've never had any club v country dilemmas to deal with. How do you think you would stand with this?.

Nothing to do with Southern based media really, more to do with "hurrr not playing for SKY4 so he must be crap hurrrrrr".

England managers have a weird obsession with southern players. This has been prevalent for years.

I see our Tom got the winner for the 21s whilst Winks was merely a passenger for the first team.

I'm sure someone has pointed out to you that Rooney and Gerrard were the last captains by now. But I get your point, there are teams that if you play for you're guaranteed a spot int he team. Namely, every team that finished above Everton last season lol.

Don't worry about Davies, he sees through the lies of the England team. Lots of Everton greats were hardly capped, Kendall, Harvey, Bracewell, Royle, Dave Watson, Latchford.... the list goes on.

if barkley goes its deffo not about the money in my opinion, if it was he would have went to cheslea who will no doubt offer the most out of us and spurs, he rejected them because he wasn't sure how much he'd play ( according to stubbs who'd have absolutely no reason to chat wham on that )

Yea now we really will see how much of a true blue he is.

The cynic in me thinks he won't be fit until the transfer window opens because the club don't want to have to deal with controversy of having to either select or not select him.

We are also anything but a media darling & I'd guess there are very few enlgand match attending evertonians.

Alternatively I'd guess many southern based Liverpool & united fans attend England games & help pay off the massive outlay building Wembley.

Winks over Davies has been mentioned enough already today but oxlaide chamberlain over Barkley in previous squads is also very very poor. He even got to play centre midfield
