He plays 0 game for Everton this season. Even he was available I don't see how he can makes a big difference. And the struggle was mainly down to selling the main striker without replacing him plus not buying a CB/LB. Oh and of course Koeman's strange team selection and tactics earlier in the season.

Prior to the ankle injury he suffered 2 years ago, his stats are up there with the best players to have played in his position in the premier league. Don’t let his form post ankle injury and your perceived dislike of how he undermined Martinez, to cloud your judgement of what a fine player he was.
