A lot of people need to look at this objectively.

How do we create conditions at the club that will allow our players to feel they don’t have to move to further there career.

It starts by emptying the board hopefully Moshiri will sort once he fulfills the requirements of his options, this scenario will play out in different guises numerous times in the next few years.

Pickford will be next particularly if he starts & has a strong World Cup.

Moshiri will not be emptying the board else he would have done it ages ago.

he has now become part of the problem.

Moshiri IS the problem.

By that logic we are sell to buy every window mate as players come and go. It was clear since the summer Barkley wanted out and he's got his move.

For those who doubt Moshiri how much money are the billionaire owners of WBA, Saints, Newcastle, Stoke, West Ham etc. Paying for signings?

Ive been critical of Moshiri as much as anyone but he's given us money to spend - something that never happened under Kenwright or happening at most clubs outside the top 6.

Don’t wanna go of topic mate and all that. But he’s not kept any of our stars, he’s not put the money in from his own pockets? Hasn’t he Borrowed us it?

You know how I know he’s not ambitious? Our current manager.

Chelsea are the perfect club for him gang of mercenaries. With no soul, he'll be a bench player. Nice of him to use us like this really use our facilities to get fit then bog off for less than half of what we should have got

The manager didn't let matters rest. It made it worse that RB was producing on the pitch yet that divvy STILL criticised him and then he made the extension a front page issue.

I will never forgive that idiot for wrecking this club. We all know what a disaster he was as manager and this Barkley episode today is just another ramification of it. How do some people not see that?

Someone needs to poke you with a sharp stick and wake you up from your reverie. He was hit-and-miss, and most of the time sauntered around the pitch without any urgency whatsoever. He was always keeping hold of the ball for 4-5 seconds too long, often getting caught in possession as a result. No wonder he was dropped from the England squad. Lack of consistency. He needs to take a long, hard, look at Son of Spurs, for example, and see what is required in the modern game. Son is a million miles ahead of Stroller Barclay, and that's just one example...

He has shafted this club after all it did for him. And he claims he is a 'Blue'. He is less of a Blue than ALL the genuine supporters of this club...

How is it nonsense. We were asking for £35m with one year left on his deal. We would have been asking for £50-60m for him if he had signed a new deal. In what bizarre world do you think Chelsea, Spurs or any club would have paid that for him ?

It would have been suicide for any hopes he had of leaving. You’d make a horrendous agent :p

They’re figures you’re quoting, not me.

With a decent contract length left, he’d have gone for his market value. Anyone who wanted him would pay the market value.

With 6 months left, he goes on the cheap.

You’d make a horrendous owner ;)

You don’t seem to have grasped that no one showed interest in him when he had a decent length left on his contract, he is appealing to clubs now BECAUSE he’s cheap due to his current contracts expirey date.

The figures I gave are a guesstimate but if he was valued at £35m with one year left then it stands to reason his value would increase considerably with a new deal thus reducing the chances of him leaving.

A wantaway Barkley signing a new deal to increase his value would have only benefited Everton.

Yeah mate, he was rubbish. I expect that's why Chelsea are taking him.
