Roy Hodgson retiring

Happy retirement, always seemed like a nice gentleman, stepped in for England when Capello threw his toys out just before Euro 2012 but should have really left the role after the disastrous 2014 World Cup campaign

With his knowledge and contacts i always thought he'd have made a brilliant DOF over the last few years.

I see Herr Klopp is in the press saying that he promises that the Liverpool supporters will give Roy Hodgson a proper farewell in his final game at their place. Hmmm....hypocrisy or maybe just the usual RS denial of past events. I recall them being the agent provocateurs to his last farewell from them...when they petitioned FSG in their thousands to sack him immediately. Roy was on the sticky end of their wrath for his response to their open criticism of him during matches there when they were chanting "Hodgson for England" and "Dalglish". He suggested that theyd be better off getting behind the team instead.
Of course, now the usual applies...if they dont mention it, it never happened.
To be honest, coming from the rs you could take that as a veiled threat. Didn't the rs fans say something similar ("a proper welcome") about city before putting in the windows of the team bus?

Poor Roy should watch his back.

He's a gentlemen that's for sure which is more than you can say about a lot of people in the game right now.
I for one wish him a long and happy retirement.
