Spoke to my cousin before, he said I cant talk, gotta go the Empire to watch some Shankly thing, I hung up. The bad weapon.

Jesus wept, can you imagine the belters in that place tonight? All the cod Shankly 'pearls of wisdom' being passed about.

<shudders>

wasn't it today 50 years ago that Shankly took over as Liverpool manager.

I wish I could go back in time and persuade him to try Hereford or something, took them from nothing to everything.

whether anyone wants to agree or disagree, he was a great man.

Shankley was a very good manager but, after he retired, he told the world that Everton showed him more kindness than Liverpool ever did...........a startling fact that no ******** red will ever admit to. They triumph his arrival yet cast him out at the end so he took residence at Bellfield to be with and chat to players, hypocrits the lot of them

there was a great tale when Liverpool went to play Inter Milan in the european cup and the bells of a nearby tower were keeping the players awake, and Bill went out at night, knocked on the door, and asked if they could be bandaged.

I actually think he was serious and was prepared to sent some guy up there to do it.

Liverpool were on route to iceland and got lost and decided to stay at Butlins or something.

"Liverpool football club here to play Reykjavik, he said, "sorry sir, you've got the wrong place, this is butlins"

too many tales to mention.
