Rugby League at BMD

It’s been announced that Rugby League will be played at the new stadium (see details below). I have a few concerns about this and I wanted see what other folks think.

BMD does not have a separate pitch like Tottenham, so the pitch is likely to be heavily damaged. A Rugby ground share at Watford (with Saracens) was a bit of disaster and both clubs struggled. The money seems like a no-brainer, but I would need massive assurances that the pitch maintenance was being taken seriously for this to be a regular thing. We need the stadium to be multi-use, concerts is one thing but Rugby is a very different ball game (I love a good pun).

Article:
The new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock has been confirmed as one of the three venues hosting an England v Australia Rugby League test match this autumn.

The Kangaroos will take on Shaun Wane’s side in three matches at Wembley, Bramley-Moore Dock and Headingley on 25 October, 1 November and 8 November, respectively
Thats kind of your answer. A one off game is of no consequence!

I wouldn't want rugby union played at BMD. It's a very different game to league with the pitch being put under a lot of pressure during scrums and mauls. Having said that I'm watching Bath vs Quins and the pitch looks great.
I would love to see the club look into hosting the European Champions Cup final in the coming years. Would be a big final to host and be very good weekend for the city

Is the pitch big enough for GAA games?

With Casement Park cancelled we should put ourselves forward to host All Ireland hurling and football finals. Get a bit of the cash that Croke Park takes in.

I'd rather watch a big Gaelic football game than a wool game like rugby that's always stopping and starting every 3 seconds.

I’d absolutely love this. Did not think about it at all.

Nowhere near big enough, the smallest a GAA pitch can be is 130 meters by 80 meters.
