We giving Scotland much chance against Ireland then?

Am I correct in that they need to beat Ireland and get a bonus point to qualify?
No they are out now because they lost to SA
Head to head decides standings before points difference
Even if they turn it on and get the win, I doubt either side scores 4 tries anyway

Oh sorry, I'm wrong
If they win with a BP they'd go above Ireland even if Ireland got a losing BP
So it's all to play for

Tonga were a revelation after the Scotland game. They'll get better over the coming years.

Tonga have always had decent players but they are let down by two things, their ill discipline which often leaves them down a player (or 3) and the fact that their really top players will try and play for New Zealand or other wealthy nations.

For those reasons I don’t think they will ever be consistently good, you may have one or two tournaments in 10 where they do well - like Samoa and Fiji.

There is , bizarrely , a way for both Scotland and Ireland to go through at SAs expense , but it involves lots of tries and conspiracy theories. Scotland have very underrated backs capable of scoring multi tries in quick succession , but their forwards can’t match the power of Irelands or their strength in depth.

It's probably been covered earlier, but why the actual fudge do these fannies need a MINIMUM 7 days between games?

England's next game is a full 14 days after the previous one.

How on earth can any fan commit to go watch a tournament? At this rate it will be over in December.

Though I would love to see both go through I don't think it is possible.
Scotland need to win by over 21 points and Ireland need to get a BP so they would need to score 4 tries to Scotlands 7 and it would be difficult to see that as anything other than a fix tbf
Scotland could very easily win, they definitely have the ability on their day, but unfortunately I think SA are safely through
