....I‘d hope if he regularly caught those shots instead of dropping them in the 6 yard box, they’d be on the compilation. I found it a bit of a concern. Can’t remember seeing anything of him coming for crosses.

It’s hard to judge on clips but I wasn’t keen on what I saw, he doesn’t look assured and confident.

....well, yes it was once a fairly basic thing for keepers to catch shots. I know the ball moves more these days, but if you have a keeper that spills as a matter of technique then forwards will take advantage.

...I imagine it’s because the ball moves much more in the air than it did even 10 years ago, plus the influx of foreign keepers who traditionally punched rather than caught. It wasn’t that long ago keepers only put gloves on when it was wet.
