Mate thank you so much for checking in - I needed a pick me up as I’ve had a shocker!

I got shin splints which completely stopped me from training for 2 weeks and then I got back for one run and got covid so couldn’t get out for 10 more days.

I feel like I’ve lost all the good work I was doing but this is the week I get back at it. Planning on running after work Wednesday and lunch time Friday as I seem to have shaken this sickness off now. Absolutely gutted though, feel like I’m going from scratch again but I’m not giving up!

Ooof that’s tough, take it easy as you come back from Covid, there are a number of posts in the Running 2022 thread covering this. I heard today that I ve got a Good For Age entry into April‘s London marathon , at the moment I’ve got an achiles injury that will keep me from running for another 4 weeks , so like you I’ll be carefully making my way back. Stick with your plans , you’ve still got plenty of time to train for an April marathon ?
