Don't get me wrong I really like him and have been one of his biggest backers on here, but trust me he's not ready to start yet. A few sub appearances next season would be good for the lad, but if anyone's being brought into rotation for next season for centre midfield, it's gotta be Lundstram.

Lundstram is at the point he needs to start breaking through this season coming or else I don't think he will make it here mate, actually thought pre season we would have seen him starting to feature in the team this year, but seems to be deemed not ready yet - his loans spells have been poorer this season than last too by the looks ;/

Lundstram was with the England under 20's last summer mate so wasn't available for preseason, should be involved this year, agree though next season needs to be his break through year.

He actually struck me on the little i have seen of him as stylistically suited to the Martinez game as well

My bad mate, miss read your post, he's got the attributes to replace Barry long term IMO good passer, strong in the tackle, left footed, apparently it's what goes on in his head during the game that needed working on. Hope he makes it with us would be ace to have him and Ross in our midfield as they have played together through every age group for us and England.
