Sad News - Our friend, Roydo

Never lucky enough to meet him but I had respect for the way he was on here ,his family will be devestated I am sure ,as said above 59 is too young in this age of medicine . At least it seems he went fast ,no long drawn out torture .off to the orchard in the sky him and Nick sitting by the woodburner ,RIP @roydo.

Genuinely gutted by this. He was a good dude. Funny, level headed, and great at diffusing ugly situations on here. The way he carried himself through his partner's illness was an example to all. I hope he's been reunited with her. How goddamn sad

It's with a heavy heart that I have to share some devastating news.

Our friend @roydo has suddenly, and unexpectedly, passed away.

Mark, who would have celebrated his 59th birthday tomorrow, was such an integral part of our community, dedicating endless hours to nurturing and moderating Grand Old Team for over 10 years.

Mark cherished this community deeply, and often spoke of how he found solace and support following the loss of his partner, Nikki.

I know we'll all miss him tremendously.

Thanks @roydo - you were one of the best pal. A true gent, and an honour to have called a friend.

I'll share this thread with Marks family, and I await to hear if there's anyway we can support/donate.

I don’t recall talking to Roydo much over my years on here. I fleet in and out so I don’t talk to many people on here. One thing I do remember was Roydo modding, always fair, rational and compassionate. If the microcosm of GOT is anything to go by then the world is a far worse place without him. My thoughts go to his family, friends and all who knew him.

We’ve all had battles, so to speak, with Roydo but he was a fair cop and seemed a really lovely fella at the end of things.
