Not going to claim he's a world beater, but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin a total unknown at this point he's the only guy we have who can give you the option of that 10 minute spell at the end, and that's useful to have. I don't see the point in shipping him out and leaving ourselves without that option.

We could literally get any fit footballer in league football to come on and do a similar job. Lad is a complete waste of space.

Maybe so, but we can't when the window's shut. When the guy is getting minutes for the team there's no point shipping him off until January when we can get someone in to do the same job. It would be needlessly leaving us short of an option we need.

When they took into consideration his wages, signing on fee and food bill, they knew it was too much of a weight to bear - metaphorically and literally.

To be fair to him he is OK ish when he gets more than ten mins every five games. When he did get time we were also not the best creating chances
