I don't want this man as Everton manager any longer than this season, under any circumstances.

He has proven he will sacrifice the chance to win in favour of not losing and then go on to lose anyway.

He doesn't deserve to be here, he has no respect for the fans and needs mercilessly booting out of the club.

Harrumph!

Pretty surprised by the venom towards Alladyce...

  • He picked us up in 18th
  • Added Walcott and Tosun who are coming good.
  • Cleared out some dross / underperformers / needed more experience e.g. Mirallas / Besic & Sandro / Lookman
  • Moved us to the fringe of Europe.

All in about 50% of the available league games available!

OK, I do look away when he speaks, he's brash, the football's not great. But Konman and Walsh could have honestly led us into a much worse position. He's cleaned up their mess in no time and still given a lot of game time to young players (DCL, Davies, a little for Bangingame).

I wish he'd say less and play Vlasic more, that's it. But value-wise can our current position from his starting point really justify all the lemming-style hate on here? It's like being near the drop zone would be preferable and at least offer more kind 'excitement'. Ask Newcastle and Sunderland if that kinda excitement really goes anywhere long term.

Me, I'll take the jump up the table and fingers crossed for Europe. If he achieves that then whomever is next is picking up a better squad and opportunity thanks to BFS's track record...

Surely let's drop the angst and rev the team up... Europe here we come :)

Would imagine that Big Sam will be with us until around Oct/Nov, and if it's not looking good by then he'll be on his way.
To give anything other then until Christmas would be ridiculous from Everton, as you say we need to see where we are about Oct/Dec before even thinking about it

Is a fairly level-headed assessment, but I'd don a tin helmet if I were you mate, likely to be a fair amount of flak incoming :);)

What's more exciting than a new manager la, it's like Evertonians have been married to the same bird for years (moyes) now we've had a taste of something different where just running through them, where currently at the fat mess stage but there's a little fitty looking at us over there (paulo)

Best way I can describe it like

Whilst i think some of the criticism is a bit over the top, at the same time i do understand and see where it comes from. We are trying(albeit in a very confusing fashion) to build a project here at Everton at the moment under a new owner in Moshiri. There is the new stadium to come in the future and the promise of a better team to challenge the top six and try to break into the CL places. Our squad has needed a reshuffle for a long time and bringing in a load of duds last summer did'nt help either. I think we need a manager/coach who has built a team before, that's not what Sam Allardyce does, he fixes things on the short term hence why he was brought in when RK was sacked, we are safe now and we don't need him anymore as he does'nt have anything to offer us imo. Sam is a repair guy, we need a builder.

Well said. I hope we get a more exiting manager over the summer, but BFS has done a good job with us this season, and he desverves credit for that.

Up until about last week BFS had us as bottom 2 in the league in shots, shots on target, shots conceded this year. His tactics have us with less opportunities than even teams that will be relegated, and yet more pressure on our defense than those same to-be-relegated squads. In any case where you see that, I think its pretty safe to assume the players are the ones making the difference, scoring with the few opportunities they are getting and getting in blocks, saves, and clearances.

Based on the numbers, I read we’d be 6th if the prem league had started when sam took over.

But don’t let that cloud the gravy comments and bs towards him.

I’m not his biggest fan but some of the stuff written on here is beyond biased and ill informed.

Could have been 6th if we had not caved in at West Brom, Bournemouth for two examples, oh add Burnley to that!!!!!!!!!!!!
