Presser notes:

Gueye did a full session today and will be in squad tomorrow. Must surely start based on our last game. Refused to say whether he'll play.

All other injured players out.

He says onus isn't on us to attack as we tried that against City and it didn't work. ;) haha.

When asked about putting our recent derby record right he says it’s been poor in recent times and he was pleased to get a draw at Anfield in the cup and we need to try and nullify them tomorrow instead of attacking them. We need to “limit their chances” and that’s the only way we can win.

Reckons he knows how to beat them but the “players have to know how to do it too”.

He says it may be an advantage to us that they play City next week again and he expects Klopp to use his squad and perhaps change the team up a little, but it’s “all about us and what we need to do”.

He “looked at Palace very closely” and there were “certain elements in that game […] where Palace might have won the game”.

When asked about his doubters he asks “Where are the doubters? Is it the two people on Twitter?” Claims it’s not real that he has doubters and that there are “only a few”. He claims the “stir has been created” for him to be leaving end of the season, but he’ll only listen to it when “Farhad rings me up and tells me I’m not wanted any more.”

Doesn't think he could have done any more since he's been here because we're now ahead of West Brom (WHAT!). "Look at where West Brom are and look where we are - I couldn't have done any more with the staff and players I have got here."

He briefly touched upon Ray Wilkins and said he was, even more than a footballer, a “great guy and it’s very sad to have lost him”.

Refused to speak in any detail about Marcel Brands but accepted something is likely going on between the club and him.

He says the team needs to “defend correctly because we threw two avoidable goals away against City” which came about by “missing a chance to make it 1-1 (Bolasie)”.

"Everybody needs to lift their game tomorrow. What I have to make them aware of it not to be overactive and lose control and get carried away."
You just know we're going back to 5 at the back with the return of Williams alongside Keane and Jags. Gueye to return alongside Schneiderlin in midfield. Tosun on his own up front. Goodison will be booing before kick off FFS.
