Of course. This shouldn't be a thread about Martinez though. The point is that Koeman and Allardyce brought in an outlook to football that could never ever get us into challenging for CL places.
Big Scam's style of football was out of date since a caveman kicked a pine cone between two trees and shout goal. No chance of CL with the 'football' we are playing now.

Still bottled it though. Ffs Everton.

A bit of revisionism: Martinez's ultimate failure to secure champions league football has led to our decline.

In a sense that is true, Davey.

Bobby gave us a brief glimpse of what we have been in the past and what we can be again.

And that is what makes this current malaise all the harder to stomach for me.

Not convinced mate. He'd be saying "I've done a great job, need to see the season out first" etc etc if he was gone. Wilshere coming in ever-more-likely is very much a Walsh / Allardyce signing.

There’s no way he can stay. The clubs already of aware of the hate for him. The initial contract offer tells me he’s not here nxt season.

Spin side on that mate, it also shows how easily it can all be turned around again, season before we looked tired and pretty jaded as a team which had peaked and was slipping back again.

One change at the top - one summer of good recruitment and the following season was the polar opposite of it.

Very true.

The whole public know mate. And as much as the RS are vile there correct. I’m actually feeling aloof towards us with FS I’m charge. He’s really drained the fan base
Chill mate. He's gone soon. We've put up with years of dross...a couple of months won't hurt.
