He needs to clear the old guard out. I get that this owning a football club lark is new to him, but the people whispering in his ear haven't exactly got the best track record of success...
Massive massive summer ahead. I'm getting bored saying that though.

I get that. But that said, the old guard never had to hire Sam Allardyce. The new guard seem to be the problem. Football wise anyrate.

I am not advocating anything. Just ruminating on the possibilities, and his mindset.

The thing that worries me is the apology. If we were getting rid, why apologise? We're supposedly about to lash a few million is his general direction so why bother about hurting his feelings.

I think these next few home games are vital for clarifying the fans opinions of Allardyce. Either let the board know he's not welcome or sit there, quietly awaiting the same [Poor language removed] show next year.

Managers points per game this season (league only)

Usworth - 1.4 (Overall record - 1.66)
Allardyce - 1.35
Koeman - 0.88 (Overall record - 1.46)

Martinez - 1.44
Moyes - 1.5

What's your problem? Nobody allowed to have a different opinion than the insulting bile that, it seems, most on this forum recently come out with? Some on here seem to think that because our major shareholder is a billionaire (on paper at least) we should be mixing it with the big boys already! It will take maybe 5 or even 10 years to get there, or maybe never. Allardyce is doing what he has been asked to do and I, for one, am glad he came.
My problem is that I don't care to be told the sun is shining out of Fat Sam's backside by someone pretending to be a Leyton Orient fan.

I read a brief summary behind Sunderlands demise earlier.

Made me think. This summer could be crucial. Actually, IS crucial. Moshiri could well retain Sam, underpinning some grim stability. Or he could sort the mess out properly, which he might see as high risk.

Its a puzzler.
I've got the same nagging feeling.
Since Christmas I've wavered about whether or not the decision would be made about parting company with Sam at the end of season - I held off renewing my season ticket until the very last minute in the hope that the news that he was leaving was going to be announced.
After the Swansea match, I was totally convinced that BFS' position had become untenable and that he would be gone. I was pleased about the survey because I think it would simply have reinforced the fan opinion.
Now, following the criticism in the press about the survey, I am wondering if Moshiri will sack him and please the fans, but not Sam's press cronies or will he retain him until the end of the contract appeasing Sam and his mates, but incur the wrath of the fans.
I am hoping that we will be listened to.

More of the manager's lies being assumed to be true. We were 13th, not 17th. It's bad enough dealing with Allardyce's spin, without the players backing it up

Should be the end of Rooney here with that, spreading the San myth about being 17th, and for the most senior pro who was brought in to bring a winning mentality to admit they where panicking in November about relegation, should lead to the lot of the senior players being out the door with him.

The thing that worries me is the apology. If we were getting rid, why apologise? We're supposedly about to lash a few million is his general direction so why bother about hurting his feelings.

This all day long, I can’t stand this guy any longer associated with my club, the game is on Sky a perfect opportunity to let our feelings known.
Get this useless buffoon out of our club

If Sam goes which we hope is the case, Rooney will go as well. I am glad he came back for nostalgia sake. My Man U mate says he was finished at their club. It is still in his football brain, but the body won't do it anymore. Sad but true.
