It was only ever a short term contract that was offered as Moshiri's main targets weren't available - Martin O'Neill turned the same short term contract down (widely reported in the Irish media as the reason he was stalling on signing a new contract with Ireland) before we went back to Allardyce.

Believing the media is always a mistake. Allardyce knew he had us over a barrel simply because he knew he was the only taker.

I think it's fair to say most of us could name at least five better managers who were out of work when he was appointed so it's not that much of a stretch to realise nobody decent was interested And as funny as it might sound a friend of mine is a member of the coaching staff,but I haven't and wouldn't ask him anything about how he got his job.

The fan survey was a complete joke, the club doesn't need a survey to tell them he is not popular. When did being unpopular amongst fans been a criterion for sacking a manager. Sack him because he can't do the job not because he loses a popularity contest.
