Typical Allardyce. An organised team get 3 points at home against an in form side. He almost did the same to Liverpool.
However we had one shot on goal in 90 mins. It's dull but effective. If he stays and makes a couple more decent signings we'll likely come 7th next season but it sure won't be pretty and the fans will be utterly uninspired.
Gamble on some foreign glamour model and it's much more likely to go tots up but maybe just maybe it'll eventually click and we'll build something special. Moshiri's call.

I don’t want him long term but it was the right thing to do to bring Allardyce in at the time. On the pitch we’ve certainly improved from where we were. Hopefully we’ll get the right man in in the summer and we won’t be in the state we were in in November again soon.

That carpet bagger bell end was probably chuffed with that performance. I don't expect him to bin Allardyce this side of early next season. Just wants his investment protected.

Moshiri will see it as saving the £6m to get rid of Allardyce mate, and he'll see another top ten finish next season as acceptable while we're supposedly moving ahead with the stadium.

gotta be honest, if he gets us finishing 8th after what we were like before he came in, i think he's exceeded what we expected of him, so he should receive some sort of plaudits for that. He does deserve criticsim for being a negative beaut and not trying to get us 7th and europe, but there we go, he's never reached those dizzy heights in his career so i wasn't expecting that. Good to see us starting to get some clean sheets again, still need an overhaul in that defence.

We're back in Kenwright damage limitation mode is my guess. Top ten is the priority while the stadium situation sorts itself out...or doesn't, as the case may be.

Back to square one.

He did'nt look very happy when the camera was on him and Kenwright in the 2nd half, BK was puffing his cheeks out and shaking his head, so we will see.

Do you want Allardyce to stay Kev?
Its a tough one. I respect the fact that he's a players coach, that he can provide stability - something we haven't had since Moyes.

I also have no confidence at all in Moshiri in finding a better manager, because I don't think hes competent as an owner and doesn't seem to sell us as a club to prospective candidates.

I know there are better candidates than Allardyce out there, but for them to succeed the whole ethos of the club needs to change - a lot of these top managers appear to want everything handed to them on a plate or at least not be subject to the carry-on shenanigans that seem to make up our boards actions. And as things stand we are so far away from that its untrue.

Removing Allardyce would in my opinion change very little and there would be a very good chance of things getting back to Martinez/Koeman levels of nonsense.
