Maybe he was only entitled to that? No one really knows what was in his contract do they? In fact who knows how much a pay off he will get? All I am sure is that it's going to be more than I 'll earn before I retire.

Allardyce held all the cards when Moshiri went back to him cap in hand, so couldn’t see him agreeing to a pay off less than he would supposedly get for the year left on his contract if he saw it out, as I say, Allardyce had us by the balls negotiating his contract.

No one knows what clauses are in the contract

Said it to the other lads mate, we ended up having to go back to Allardyce cap in hand after originally blowing him out, I think in those circumstances he held all the cards in the contract negotiations, so I couldn’t see him agreeing to a pay off less than the supposedly £6m a year he would be entitled too.

Just out of interest, how do we know how much his salary is, has it been documented anywhere, or do we just assume it’s what Koeman got paid?

You could be right mate, but we ended up having to go back to him cap in hand after originally blowing him out, it put him in the driving seat.
It did, but Moshiri still managed to give him the shortest contract for a new manager at this club in living memory, he was prepared to pay Watford 12m for Silva, so now he can sack Allardyce, pay 6m and still be in pocket compared to if he had bought Silva out of Watford.

It's worked out perfect for Moshiri, he can now go get the man he really wants.

He might not be entitled to it, he may of only got that if we finished 7th and got us in to Europe. Every place below that would mean a lesser payoff amount.

Know what your saying mate, but supposedly Allardyce was only brought in to save us from relegation :hayee: and it wouldn’t surprise me if in his contract he didn’t have a bonus clause for ‘keeping us up’

Anyone hoping for an announcement today, please remember this is Everton
They won’t announce anything until 30 minutes into pre season. ;)
