The issue isn't losing them mate it's the way we lose them. Sitting back and holding them for no reason at all is what is wrong with it. Not like we were outplayed by a lot of teama who have beaten us under allardyce. A lot of the time it's because we have just sat back and waited for them to beat us
The other reason is because Allardyce is of that Pulis,Pardew,Moyes school of thinking that is happy with a point in games and won't go looking for a win, so we sit back and invite the other team to attack us usually conceding in the process. When we are one up we never kill games off, we just sit back and end up drawing the game because of a stupid mistake.

With that type of approach we should just change our motto to "Nothing but the Average"
I'm not sure we're even aiming for that any more. Average teams do play some good and entertaining football at time.
If Allardyce stays we're aiming for managed decline. Knowing our station. Fodder to be patronised as we're thumped by a top 10 side like... Burnley.

I would not describe Emery as average, but then ...

I have a suggestion for you... a manager a year younger than Fonseca... one game away from a successive clean sweep in his league... has hardly lost a game since he joined the club and won their league with a 5-0 win against their greatest rivals... what's not to like... how could Brendan Rogers fail ?... I think he seems to fit most of your criteria.

That's a bit of a redred suggestion blueblue

You seem to be all over the place in your justification. First, where did the Emery shout come from? Neither of us mentioned him before. Secondly, I wouldn't exactly call Rogers a foreign manager and thirdly I didn't set out a criteria for a manager, only the methods by which the appointment decision may be made.

Cos he looks like a dolphin in labour.

Good performance is one thing, getting results is another. Currently we are in top 6 form with most of a team that is not his.

But we still haven't beaten any of the teams above us. We will find it difficult to join the top 6 when we can't beat any of the top 7.

When he does get a team that has more of his players, what do you think it will look like? And how do you think it will play?

Personally, I'm dreading it.

True.
But, I think it highlights the point I am making about bringing managers into the premiership.
Massive success in a lesser league means little or nothing coming to the premiership.
I don't want another manager who has to be sacked before Christmas and we have to back to somebody like Sam again

I want a manager that has a track record or if we are bringing somebody unknown that for at least one season they work with somebody who does know the league.

I must admit, however, that it would not bother me bit what clubs a person was involved with previously if they were the right manager... Rogers is not the right manager.

But some manager who has never managed in the premier league before is not going to have a clue how to break the top 6. Allardyce is best placed. He can get the percentages needed to give us a further edge because it's that difficult to penetrate the top 6 now that we are going to need everyedge we can get.

As to the last bit there Jose and Antonio say hello So does Pep by the way

How on earth is BFS going to get us into the top 6 next season when we have not beaten a team in the top 7 this season?

And he hasn't shown any evidence of giving us an edge in games this season.

What makes you think that things will be any different next season?
