As a fellow evertonian i totally respect your opinion but I do disagree on how far you think allardyce can take us. He has never had money to spend at a club like he has now and also his first two signings ain't bad either.

Big Sam for me is the answer 100% he is very much in the mould of mourinho and simeone, a pragmatist type manager and in my opinion he is every bit as good as them two. He just needs the chance to spend the kind of money they do so that he can showcase what he can do. The football will improve at a time when it can improve.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that next season If Sam stays we will fight near the top 5. If Sam doesn't stay I believe we will be similar to this season. Change is not always good and the signs from Sam at the moment are a team progressing so someone as astute as Moshiri will very unlikely see reason to change at this point.
It’s the very first sentence that has me confused

OK. I thought you were specifically referring to him getting his head turned, which will only happen if he has been a big success for us. 18 months ago, people were saying we were lucky to get Koeman as he would have been a perfect replacement for Arsenal when Wenger finally retired. I don't see anybody touting him for the job now.

Apart from getting his head turned, what else do you think may happen to make him lose focus.? Maybe a family bereavement. I don't know. If he does lose focus we get rid. If he loses focus because he's had his head turned, then it can only be because he has done a great job for us. If we don't employ him because that may happen in the future, then what's the point of trying to better ourselves. We should just stay well clear of all up and coming players too as surely they'll only do the same as Romelu Lukaku further down the line.
We may as well close the academy as well in case we get any more Rooney or Barkley’s

I feared as much. Did they inherit squads as bad as the one Sam took over? Nothing further need be said regarding their remarkable success in this country, except to say using them as comparative examples of foreign managers doing well here is ludicrous. None of then would have achieved anything at Everton in 5 months with the sub standard accumulation of players we have. Of course none would have taken the job anyway.
You said no foreign manager with no PL experience and I named 3
We are not looking to win the league next season but a tilt at the top 4/6 would be nice.
I can do without expected defeats as well like Burnley away and I’m not too thrilled about the great ( Sams words ) away point at Swansea
