Be prepared for the big Charm Offensive from Allardyce .
I think it will be a big indicator he's been told by the club to tone it down if he has any hope of being kept on.

Personally I hope he carries on Wumming and Popcorning us ....then bye bye.
This will be the litmus test for me. If he is bigging up the club and making conciliatory noises to the fans then I think we are in bother because he'll be staying and we'll have a year on the bleach. If he carries on with his usual "me, me, me, the 15 fans on social media who don't like me are idiots" then he'll be on his bike and we can all have a cold beer.

I am currently awaiting the next press conference for a bit of light wummery and to see what type of tea cup he will be drinking from this time.

Big Scam out!

"It is understood that their feelings have been noted by Everton officials. However, elements of the club's top brass have been pleased with Allardyce's impact and the idea of extending his contract by a year has been aired."

I think that year will just be next season, which he already had anyway, and not givin him a fresh contract that gives him the season after. Either way i can see this, the officials want results, and from the spot that Koeman left us to where we sit now they will see as a result. No other side who changed managers last season moved forward as much as we did

And that is top level coaching spread over >40 years ? I have worked all over the Nordic countries and believe me the level when he was there was barely professional, those leagues you mention are still at a very poor standard compared to the top leagues. Its the Sam thing he has been around for ages(and is English) therefore must be boss. Have you ever thought that he coached at these minor league because no decent league would touch him with a bargepole.

You seem to reply to posts without actually reading them properly....

As I said I am not a fan of Hodgson. I would not want either him or Allardyce or any of the English managers within a hundred miles of our club if I could help it, but for you to say that Hodgson has a "crap" record as a manager is just factually inaccurate.

At first you state he has won F all, when if fact he has won multiple league titles and trophies in Europe.

Then you state that no decent league would touch him with a bargepole? Are you forgetting Serie A or the Premiership? And what about the job he's doing at Palace at the moment?

How many other managers can you name who have a career spanning over 40 years with multiple title wins, multiple cup wins. Has managed in many countries and International sides.

Like I said, I don't think he's the greatest manager in the world and he's not what I would want for Everton but he's certainly better than Allardyce and a lot of the other dross out there who haven't won anything or managed anywhere other than England.

Sam can not and will not stay in charge, he’s lost the fans and no manager survives when they lose the fans, even Wenger went in the end

Yes, but only after a campaign lasting several years, Grump.

I think Moshiri will get the next two games out the way and say nowt in the close season other than Sam is contracted at the club.

Allardyce will get on with doing what he does over the summer, free from malcontented fans taunting him from the terraces.

The fun will start in earnest if we have a sluggish start to next season.

The rift between the fans and the club hierarchy will be stretched to breaking point if we are sitting mid table in October, playing the same garbage we have seen since Sam came in and with a couple of non trying thrashings by Spurs or United thrown in.

And imagine a one year extension to his contract being thrown into the mix

I for one am not ruling that out :(

OK Mr Hodgson if you say so. Have a look on that there internet and see his record is crap in my opinion, a slightly more successful Fat Sam is that accurate ? You are seriously rating his achievements in Sweden etc. ? He was sacked at Inter and Blackburn where bottom of the league when they sacked him. A half decent job at Palace is no achievement really.

He won’t do that, windy.....magnanimity ain’t in his DNA.

He will continue to sneer at us whether he is on his last legs or not.

If you want a bit of a giggle, have a look at this little exchange with Everton Fan Services here, a few beauties especially the comment from Gary Shaw. :D

The season ticket renewals surely didn’t help the cause. We shall see this summer how committed Moshiri is to winning.

Unfortunately yes, IMO

And with a year’s contract extension I would bet

You're probably right on both counts. The irritating thing about any contract extension (other than the blindingly obvious thing) is that when we go on a bad run, which almost any club will under any manager at some stage, the complete absence of any goodwill between the fans and the manager will make a sacking inevitable and that will cost us another year of compo.
