I didn't bother going today despite being a season ticket holder.
This wasn't some pre-planned political statement, just that I was getting drunk Friday night with a friend to celebrate the bank holiday.
What was shocking to me is I didn't recover in time to go, I've pulled similar antics in the past and always some part of my sub-conscious wakes
me up to do Everton match day without fail.

Full disclosure: I was against his appointment from day 1 and it's not even about his style of football;
It's about a character who would use his position as a national manager of a major footballing nation for nefarious self enrichment.
It will always chafe my arse that his name will stand alongside the heroes, and not-quite-up-to-the-job but always gentlemen who've been granted
stewardship of our club.

Having said all the above I have to concede he's done allright.
He will probably get us 7th and Europe next season were he to remain in post and maybe that's enough for the board who are trying to juggle building a stadium while remaining competitive.
Every second he's in post however we will lose ground on the top six and ever being able to challenge in my opinion.

As I said above I'm a season ticket holder and have renewed.
I hold no delusion that we have some God given right to succeed. I started going as a child in the 90s and didn't see us win a match until my 9th or 10th game.
As crap as we were however, and genuinely threatened with relegation, it didn't feel like we were as far from being the best club in England as we are now.
We may have slept in the gutter but we had our eyes on the stars.
It says Nil Satis on my season ticket card for a reason.

His successor doesn't have to be a superstar of attacking football like Fonseca (although it would be nice).
Dyche would do for me: someone who would take an interest in all aspects of footballing culture within the club and develop a five year plan for how we progress.
The idea that Allardyce has a plan for summer 2019 other than whereabouts in Spain he's going to try and order a Yorkshire Pudding is fanciful in my opinion.

TLDR: Allardyce out imo.

He sucks the life out of the game. If nobody creates anything he gets his clean sheet. He’s anti-football. I can’t believe anybody that thinks he should be here for another week let alone 12 months.
