He's done exactly what he was brought in to do so far. He isn't the messiah or anything like that, he's just brought stability.

We've developed a good defensive base and as a result have become hard to beat

We're not playing particularly great football, but the points are coming, so no complaints at the moment

I think he'll comfortably keep us up (which is all I was hoping for a couple of weeks ago), but the bigger question is around whether or not he gets a second season - he would have to probably get European qualification for me (and a few other people I know) to be convinced enough that he merits that

He's a very naughty boy

A percentage of all club's fans are morons, it's not something that's exclusive to Everton. "Many many" is harsh.

Anyway, here's hoping Big Sam fails so you can feel all smug and superior.

Where have i said i want us or sam to fail?

Im just cautious, as its still early days and we have had a few false dawns before.

Why do people talk like before allardyce we were barca esq footballing philosophers. Under smith it was just turgid
Moyes was slightly better. The defence improved but we played without a striker most of the time
Martinez was just possession for the sake of it. The attack improved but we played without defensive structure and it was like a basketball match.
God knows what Koeman was doing.
We shipped goals for fun under unsworth and looked clueless going forward.

So allardyce has come in we've got 3 win's and a draw since he arrived at the club. Unbeaten and conceded 1.

Why are people still against this?

The injuries are fair comment. They've been going on for so long that you almost forget about them

Koeman finished 7th last year and had only one point more than we have right now at this stage

Allardyce is doing fine but people (myself included) need to be convinced that he can do more than just provide mid-table security. That's why I think I'd want him to do something really impressive this season before I'd commit to another year. I'm not totally against the idea, but I'd want him to earn it. If he gets top 7, considering how the season began, I think there's a reasonable argument that he deserves another season. That would mean hunting down someone like Burnley or one of the accepted top six faltering and us capitalising.

TBH I don't think anyone is happy with our football at the moment but feel it's a necessity just to get points on the board. We do have a few injuries and they are closer to a return and we have the January window. If the football has not improved by seasons end then I don't think he will be kept on. I will like to give him to Feb to see if we have built on the defensive side but can string several passes together in midfield and attack. No complaints at the moment though.

I never liked the idea of Big Sam coming to Everton it looked and felt like a desperate move on behalf of the club and board to appoint him as manager.

He has never played the type of football I think we should be playing if we consider ourselves to be a 'big' club.

However Im my opinion he has never had such a good team as ours, and now has the financial backing he has never been given before.

He has always had to shop in Aldi and Lidl even at a club like Newcastle.

His first four results have impressed me, in the sense that he has made us a more solid team almost over night which before he got here I couldn't see where are next win was coming from.

I'm not a fan of Sam or his style but Im prepared to give him time and hope the club give him some cash in January to see who he thinks can improve us and if results get us 7-8 in the league(or higher even) I'd be prepared to let him see out his contract.

Having said all that mind, can we win a few more games a little more comfortably please, it's not great for my nails...cheers

Merry xmas
