Oh don't.

Nobody has said we are going to do a Leicester! I just said strange things can happen.

I was being slightly needle-y there fella. In fairness to engage in insanity for a brief moment, Leicester put together a very solid run to the end of the season prior to when they won the league and then built on that with Ranieri. Building momentum is often forgotten about when discussing important things in football, but they certainly had that.

We’re unbeaten under Sam so that’s a start, but whether anything fruitful comes of it is another matter. Like I keep saying we need to do a lot more in these games on the counter. Using Leicester as the example, they at least punished teams on the counter. We don’t look capable of doing that. Furthermore it isn’t a matter of just beating teams lower than you either if you want to win things and climb the table. Leicester beat all the big teams that year, they didn’t camp in their box and aimlessly hoof it away.

Let’s say we go to Anfield in the Cup, go 1-0 down but only this time Lovren doesn’t have a brain fart- do you think we’ll get back in the game from open play the way things currently are?

When was the last time we were the school of science? Its just a slogan. Just like NSNO is.

It needs pointing out that he has not lost a game with us yet. So not sure where this "Sam philosophy" thing comes from. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

As for not understanding how fans came to watch us in the first place. What on earth does that mean? You support who you support regardless of how they play. We are chosen and all that (another slogan...)

It's not very long since the fans were singing; The School of Science is on the way back!

What are they singing now?

There are fans who think we should try to win every game - not a philosophy shared by Sam.

I can't understand why the fans who now think Allardyce can do no wrong ever came to watch Everton in the first place.

The School of Science is on the way out.

Considering Allardyce has barely got his nose inside the door, points wise he could barely have made a more impressive start.

Fans always want better now and some haven't been slow in criticising a game plan for not showing enough intent or ambition. However imo its extremely harsh to call out the manager for not taking the game to the champions yesterday and far from entirely fair. Perhaps its a case of wanting to run before you can walk.

Martina at left back, a young lad at right back, a very defensive midfield and an isolated U21 striker aren't going to hurt the champions even if we had a more positive gameplan. Chelsea had also won eight of their previous ten matches, drawing one, form that normally would be heralded as that of potential champions.

You have to play the opposition to some extent and recognize the difference in quality and class if it is so self evident. Give room to Willian and Hazard and you'd see the kind of scoreline that we suffered at home against Arsenal.

Allardyce needs time and better players in order for us to turn up with a different gameplan and expect to have a chance of competing with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool away, but until that time comes, he has to approach games realistically with the limited resources he has at his disposal.

We've come a long way from the horror shows and heavy demoralising defeats against Leicester, Lyon, Atalanta and Southampton, but the problems with the squad and personnel haven't just vanished, we don't have the players to compete with Chelsea or Liverpool atm, and until we do must be happy with taking points off them

Interesting that some people in here are more interested in our in match stats rather than the results. 'NSNO though mate, what about the school of science?'

We’ve improved no end in the last month or so, no doubt about it and it’s all down to organisation. We work hard and defend as a unit and while we do this we’ll always be in the game. I can’t see us losing many games by more than 1 goal under Alerdercè because we’ve stopped conceding shots on target. You could probably count on 2 hands how many saves Pickford as had to make since West Ham. And while you’re in the game, you just need 1 chance to get a result - a penalty at anfield to win a point or a Michael Keane header from a corner which could have snatched all 3.

This will only get us so far and the crowd will quickly turn if we go through a bad run, but we need this strong base before we become more expansive, either with this manager or another

They also sang about Goodison being a library, feed the scousers and other ditties, so I don't take their feedback as being relevant,

They're not wrong about that like. My missus used my lads season ticket yesterday (I really wanted to go on my own, honest) because my lad is away skiing, she's actually a Man U fan, she was surprised how quiet the crowd was yesterday considering who we were playing, you could literally hear a pin drop at times.
