Quickly losing faith in him doing anything but keep us away from the bottom 3. The real sad thing is that palace and west ham are 2 points behind us.

The thing is, he did make us good at collecting points with everyone behind the ball defending for our lives.

The issue arrived when the fans started calling for better forward going forward, I believe Sam was then in uncharted waters, I just genuinely believe he’s not sure how to set up a team to play football higher up the pitch whilst being defensively solid.

I don't think that's true, I remember his Bolton/West Ham sides playing some tremendously expansive football. Our back four are a shambles at the moment, we need investment ASAP.

Judging by how poor we were earlier in the season I would not complain about getting a point away at the poor team after went 1-0 down.

And not parking the bus against Sky 6 teams hoping to nick a point is very strange. We did ok against Chelsea at home. He tried to change the way hevwas getting points and clean sheets after the West Brom away game.

But people don't want that.

If this is him trying to get us to be more expansive (0 shots on target, 5 straight matches with 0 shots in the first half) then GOD help us when we go back to being "defensive".

...he’s playing Bolasie instead of Lennon, hoping that makes us more creative but it isn’t. I’m not particularly defending him but I just wonder what we can do.

In fairness, we've asked him to go beyond the "backs to the wall" approach he implemented when he came in.

Fact of the matter is that only one of our back four would get anywhere near any other starting PL defence (Holgate).

We need investment at the back, and Sam knows a thing or two about defenders.

You're not wrong there mate, considering Sam sets-up with 10 of them every game.

sam got lucky with the fixtures he started off with,v a load of teams that were winnable west ham/west brom/huddersfield/swansea compared to spurs/etc,now finding out defeiding and hoping for the best v these teams means nothing

We will continue to be utterly woeful with this side regardless of the manager. They are the worst side in terms of attitude I've ever seen play for us and they not far off the worst in terms of ability either. How many managers have to be blamed and lose their job before people wake up to the reailty that this side is the problem. They are horrible and have stopped playing under the last four managers. They don't care about the club, they don't care about the fans, they don't care about the manager, they don't even care about professional pride. They're a total disgrace. If anyone needs to be forced out of this club it's half these players.

Yep.

The next 8 games (discounting Arsenal away) will decide his fate, if we get served up more of the same then he is a goner come May. We should at least be able to challenge these teams in the number of shots on goal.
