Doesn't matter whether Sam spent it himself or not, a Leopard doesn't change it's spots and Sam won't start playing the brand of football which Moshiri has clearly set out (unsuccessfully, so far) to achieve.

what style would that be? wondering why he went for Koeman if you are leaning towards passing/fluid attacking football

Koff you think you are entertaining us?...weve renewed season tickets..but sons just said..if gravyboat is here next season Dad...you can stick mine on stubhub aint watching this anti football....hopefully hes fired towards the sun ..cant stand seeing him as our manager and his ego is so big he actually thinks hes our kin saviour....the league is that bad...we could have no manager and we would still pick up points...what a weird feeling it is AFTER winning this weekend and still discontented...
Watching his interview with Lineker on MOTD he showed more faces than the town hall clock. His whole demeanour is one of defiance especially when mentioning criticism coming his way, "including some from here" he said with a satisfied smirk on his gob.
The one thing making me baulk was when he used the word "we" when mentioning plans for next season. Dream on Sam, do one as soon we're safe, comforted with the remaining 12 months or so of your contract.

There’s me thinking we can finish 7th and hopefully have another trip to Europe next season.

But reading that, the sun cream and sandals will be out once we hit the 40 point mark......because that seems the height of his ambition.

In fairness, that was his job description. I dont blame him, but dosent mean I like him.

My job description tomorrow is deliver a van full of crap. I aint gonna walk some old lady's dog or paint her gables as well.

we've 3 away games and city in next 5 so unlikely to be hitting 40 points for a while yet

I'm not talking about tika-taka, but if you're going to chuck several hundred million pounds at transfers and planning a plush new stadium, you don't want a hoof-ball relegation specialist in charge for several years.

With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to slate Koeman, but at the time of his appointment the intention was that he would get us playing direct, fast football, similar to what he'd had S'ton playing (but with more clout in transfer spend).

His dogged determination to sign Marco Silva (again - flawed, with the benefit of hindsight) demonstrated that he wanted a manager who gives a certain brand of football.

Also, if you remember, he only ever wanted to give Big Sam a temporary contract until the end of the year to save us from a relegation scrap - the 18 month "compromise" was out of the desperation more than anything else.

I fully expect Moshiri will be keeping an eye out for someone who will be more intact with how he sees the brand developing.
