..perhaps Pickford, Gueye, Sigurdsson, Rooney and Walcott.

Basically that, given colmean would be in both, that means in reality this worst team ever would maybe slot 5 players into the side that finished 5th, with coleman being in both, so a even split betwen this and that team.

what it shows is that the ones who'd get in from the current side, would be marginal to decent improvements over the 13/14 side, but the ones who wouldn't are an absolute mile away from the players in 13/14, a side is ultimately only as strong as it's weakest parts

Pickford - better than Howard
Walcott - considerably better than Delofeu IMO
Gueye and McCarthy about level
Sigurdsson and Mirallas - edge to Siggy (IMO)
Coleman - still the same

But compare 13/14 Baines to Martina, 13/14 Jagielka to current one or Williams, Stones/Distin compared to Keane, Barry compared to Davies, Lukaku compared to Niasse, one i'd disagree with is Barkley compared to Rooney - think Barkley would be the pick there

3 of the back 4 of 13/14 are absolutely miles ahead of the current lot, throw in Colemans hardly featuring and that becomes all 4 defenders spots we are massively weaker at, add on top of that a centre midfielder in Barry who that season was light years ahead of either Davies or Schneiderlin and you see where we are having massive issues, cherry on the top on all that is we have a striker nowhere near the quality of Lukaku to even that up.

His form with us averages out to approximately five to six wins over an entire season. Yet he's under no pressure to improve. It absolutely stinks this club, rotten from top to bottom.

He was brought in to steer us away from the relegation zone...with the players and squad he had/has at his disposal.

Can you remember what the situation was like on Sunday night 26th November 2017?

We won't get relegated. I reckon he won't get sacked because of the cost and he is doing what was asked of him. We just have to suffer till end of season

'Cruise control to hitting an iceberg'? This nicely avoids the facts. We had got out of the bottom 3 and were 5 pts clear of it when the messiah arrived. And as far as him being 'here to steady the ship':. Pure comedy gold. Bravo

We were conceding 2+ goals a game, had the 2nd worst defence in the league. We were 2 points from the bottom 3 at the end of November until we played West Ham. We'd just conceded 9 goals in two games prior to it.

If we'd have lost the West Ham game, we would've fell into the bottom 3 rolling into December.

Anyone making out we weren't in free fall needs to give their heads a wobble. But then again, those people wanted someone like Marco Silva in.

Good chance that he will be gone by Monday. Don't think there is any way forward for him now. There isn't one positive reason for him being here any longer. Playing the worst football in years, awful win rate, awful management of the team, disrespecting the club and supporters, deflecting all blame away from himself and he is more hated than any other Manager has been for many years. The next match is at home were there could be a good chunk of about 38000 supporters on his case and booing him. Wouldn't be surprised if Rhino is temp caretaker in the dugout again for the next match. We only need a couple of wins out of the last 9 games to be safe and we definitely dont need Allardyce to achieve that.

I think this squad can’t be able to relegate even if the situation in november seemed worse then now.
Team still plays tactically very bad and all managers in this season just make the worst out of it, still it will be on 7th/10th.
But out of their potential, they can’t be coached and managed worse than this.

According to a mate, he's supposedly going to be getting the (dreaded?) vote of confidence from the board.
