Only thing stopping it is if Jose wants to offload 1-2 CM's and bring him in.

Last time we were glad Spurs pipped us for a CM was Hojbjerg who tbf has done very well for them.

Allows us to hopefully punt Delph who's attitude stinks and is never fit.

Even if he came in and was always injured at worst if we sold Delph its raised us a few bob and swapping like for like in the treatment room.

It's a no from me. Already got centre-midfielders we need to get gone first (Besic, Delph, probably include Gomes and Davies). Signing another 30-something who'd be no use at all in a year or so's time (assuming he even would be now) is just another FFP headache we could do without.

Shift some deadwood then go for a long-term option in the summer. Any incoming players in January should be on-loan or under 23.

I think its a shoe in he's coming here, Spurs are overloaded with CM's.

Maybe a basic low ish wage topped up by appearances. Its a gamble no doubt but we have been quite smart with the Allan and James deals so hopefully we arnt stung with this one.

If he really wants the PL and another Ancelotti link up he will compromise.
