We might not like it but he played in a team of winners at the highest level. If even a bit rubs off ....

I can understand why some blues are averse to the idea of former RS players joining the club, but Sammy Lee is a good coach. He was an important constituent of the management team that got Southampton into the top 6 the season before last. And he was involved with the England set-up when the national team got to the quarter-finals of the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

It's a good job that we didn't have such a low regard for former RS players when Kevin Sheedy signed for us...
Good deal of difference here comparing the two.
Sheedy was only a fringe player at best, not ingratiated with all things RS.
Lee, was and always will be a complete bellend.
And where does he get the adjective "successful " from. Woeful yes, successful never.

I'd find any mass outbreak of 'outrage' over this (should it happen) embarrassing....Sammy Lee is a good coach. Wouldn't that be a good thing?!...From loads of stuff I've read in the past from various 'ITK' types, Duncan Ferguson is nothing more than a 'Joey' who puts the cones out, a romantic appointment at the behest of the board.
