Rather pissed off to be honest. He's obviously going to get more cash and will be their marquee man. The deal makes sense for Eto and Sampdoria but is just stupid for us.
The rumoured fee is 1.5-2.5m which on paper is a good deal, sign on a free, play him for six months and then make a couple of mill.
That's not the case though, we would have payed him about that much on wages, and payed him a signing fee and payed his agent a fee, all that aside we're not going to be able to sign anyone as good as Eto for 2.5m (we couldn't even for double that). We're also losing a regular first teamer and one of our only good leaders, such a stupid deal. I hope it's not true.

Tbh tho mate roberto has used him terribly. He's played out of posistion his whole game time for us. I bet he's still on a wedge here and whatever he's been in the past he's not all that as a winger!
If he goes and that allows us to bring in a proper wide man I can accept that. Although it's such a shame to see a name like etoo leave.
If he stays, Bobby needs to give him some game time in his propper posistion.

He showed glimpses of that real class, but wasn't being played as a striker so his value was considerably lower to us. Plus if he is that happy to be off this quickly, I'm glad we are obliging him.

This is the problem, We don't play 4-4-2, hardly any team does, so where does he play in a 4-2-3-1?

Apparently the contract offered by Sampdoria - if they even have offered him one - is a massive drop in wages to what he's on here. I'd still like him to stay because well it's Samuel freaking Eto'o but hopefully we can get Kev signed back up if he does go. Leaves us with only 2 senior strikers though which is a worry!
