Besic wasn't posing for the cameras, or tweeting pictures of himself in his new kit, or sitting in the stands with an EFC scarf around his neck, or giving interviews talking about his great new challenge.

Somebody spotted Besic at an airport just standing around, trying to look inconspicuous, before he got on a plane.

And anyway Darren Griffiths already tweeted tonight that the club has no control over what Eto'o or Sampdoria or putting out there.

If I had to guess, the delay is prolly work permit, international clearance kinda thing.

Considering Evertons track record with regard these things, I can understand the caution, Sampdoria will just bung somebody a few quid.
