Wonder what we'll get for him?

A used gum wrapper and dead battery I hear. The delay is us holding out for postage by registered mail.

Why don't we get him off the books quickly if it's going to happen? He's on 10k a day isn't he FFS.
I imagine that turned to 'being fined' 10k a day the moment he put on the Sampdoria shirt and declared himself their player without any international clearance, paperwork or even agreement.

Of course the club are not a fault for not announcing it if it hasn't been finalised.

But with him poncing around in a Sampdoria shirt they should have said something along the lines of 'he remains an Everton player until we make an announcement'. That would have made them look more credible and control of the situation instead of all this needless will he/won't he speculation. Silence sometimes can speak volumes.

Yes £70,000/£80,000 a week so they say, there's going to money involved with him.
Chelsea signed Eto’o on a free transfer on a £7 million one-year deal but was taking a huge pay cut from the £17m a year that made him the world’s best paid footballer at Anzhi Makhachkala. Anzhi sweetened the deal by giving Eto’o a multi-million-pound lump sum to get him off their wage bill aswell. Don't know how the lad manages, maybe we should have a whip round for him

And sometimes making a statement kicking the people you're supposed to be trying to be negotiating with in the gentleman parts can do more harm than good, even if it stop the usual suspects moaning on a web forum (which it probably wouldn't).

If they said what I suggested it wouldn't be kicking them anywhere.

The club dont have to say anything at all mate.
Everton arent pushing this , Etoo has been getting tapped up for weeks.
Until we have a replacement lined up it can wait....after all he's still employed by this club.
