I don't understand the greed in football. I think it's ridiculous and money shouldn't matter when you're already insanely rich. But that's how these footballers, with their agents of course, think.

He’s got three more years, so he will get more off Everton than you quote. I agree that greed is killing the game, the reason I said offer him £5M and a free transfer, is he would get a decent signing on fee off his new club and a wage to go with the £5M, unlikely but maybe he’s not as greedy as some, although there is the agent’s point of view as you say, it was just a thought, they can say no but they can’t hit you.

This is it for him, last roll of the dice that could lead to us recouping anything. Full pre season in Spain should help. Although Valladolid’s training pitch is going to look like someone’s been going at it with a golf club by the first game if he doesn’t turn it around.
