there is an article that gets linked every time someone says this, it goes into great detail about how his Malaga season was simply a freak season and nothing about his game should have racked up the numbers it did, considering Walsh was meant to be Mr Statto when it came to scouting deffo crapped the bed with that one (amongst others)

If he is that bad, whats the incentive for him to agree to a cancellation?

I assume we would pay the vast bulk of his wages if he found a club to take him on loan.

If there are no takers then he'll be stuck without a club having received a portion of what he would be "entitled" to under his contract.

From his viewpoint, he might as well get full pay and try his luck in a years time or in January, or simply retire afterwards or play semi-professionally.

But what club would give him a game?
