As much as it might be good business, I can't say I like a player already looking to his next move before the ink is dry on his contract. When the chips are down that sort of obvious lack of commitment to the cause (if true) just isn't on. I don't think its the sort of attitude that would be welcomed by other squad members either. At least if you get a player on loan all sides know what they're getting.

I'm sure the club would either say nothing or deny it anyway but to pander to that type of demand would make us look weak and small time. If we want to be taken seriously and compete with the elite clubs, then we have to act like it.

I hope it's not true and I would like to think that we have more respect for ourselves than that to accomodate such a request, however much I think he is a very good player.
 

Meh, it's pretty obviously done. Another week of letting him worry about slotting for Spain and patting Del's wee dug is fine.

And that clause is so clearly bollocks not even the big man Trump would be on board with the story. The Echo, on the other hand...
