Transfer Rumour Sandro Ramirez

One thing I've never understood in this is why the release clause was so low, now obviously he could turn out to be gash or boss, but makes you wonder if Ramirez and his agent insisted on the release clause when he signed for Malaga, £5.2m is peanuts in footy this day and age.

Read on Twitter that he had a bad knee injury at Barca and that is why it was so low.

That's if you believe Twitter, though.

Don't get how that works mate? he signed for Malaga for free, if he had a bad knee why would having a low release clause make any difference? a smaller contract length would make more sense?

Maybe it was a stipulation? "Yeh I've had better offers but I'll come play for you if I have an attainable release clause put in".

Or something slightly less arrogant.

Maybe they got him for free because of his knee and Barca wanted the first option to buy him back st a small fee?

his contract was up at Barca, they have absolutely no right to dictate what clauses etc he has inserted... my opinion would be he'd sign for Malaga under the circumstances they insert a low fee so if he has a good season ( as he did ) he would be allowed to sign for a better club for a relatively small fee
