The only saving grace from that game last night was his performance.

He looked eager but smart with it. His movement was excellent and he anticipated well. Good turn of pace.

He is going to slaughter some teams when we have to counter attack.
Wow Dave posts a happy post and it's in my thread yay:)

Do agree thought I liked his movement and specially like that spin off the backline to receive the ball down the left.

Add to that what seemed a really responsive and delightful first touch. Will be nice to see what his finishing is like once he gets up to speed.

Yep. We need more of that and less of someone like Bolassie who would be about ten metres nearer the touchline to receive a forward pass.

We have to consider the poor quality of opposition, but that was a very decent half hour so.

Good point about his first touch as well. Again, lesser opposition, but I thought it noticeable the ball stuck more with both his and Rooney's back to goal than with lukaku imo

Looked excellent last night and showed that we will become a dangerous team indeed with him as centre forward. Also confirmed my suspicion that any forward we may buy will be starting on the bench as an option.

Thought he was excellent when he came on. We got a glimpse already in that 20 minute cameo of his excellent movement and intelligent running. He times his runs perfectly, stays onside and is dangerous. We saw his pace at times, quick feet, was patient also and didn't over do things.

I've said it before in his other thread. This is a magnificent signing and once he gets his match sharpness back, he will be playing week in and week out. By seasons I can see him being our new fan favourite.

Intelligent passing from Rooney, Klaassen, Davies...... the way he moves and times his runs, the goals will come I'm sure.

Just watched his interview on Everton tv. Think this lad will be class for us on and off the pitch. Spoke so eloquently (well in the interpreter did) about the fitness levels of the himself and his teammates. He referred to how he sensed the fans had already taken to him, even before last night and how great his teammates have been with him. Seemed a really genuine guy.

The ball didn't stick to Rooney at all... it was erratic to say the least ,his first touch was on par/worse than lukakus at times.
