Yeah, the flat plate presses are much much better. Fantastic for toasting wraps too. My kids love them..

Used one a lot as a student. Had some great toasties. Beans, cheese and tomato as well as any left over minced based meal we had made the night before.
Rather just have cheese on toast these days. With coleslaw...

By the way, I made an entire breakfast on one once. Eggs, bean, sausage, bacon!
