Why are you getting so worked up about this lad? It's one day out of 365, just enjoy it!

What would be the point in spending loads of money during an economic recession on snow clearing? It happens once or twice a year at the most. Russia and the likes are prepared for this because it happens every winter for a sustained period.
Agree that we do act daft when it snows, but that applies to everyone, not just teachers.
On the topic of working hours, are there many jobs now where you don't do work out of hours? I know I work much more than my paid for hours. Apparently most people do around 7 hours of unpaid overtime per week.

That's the norm for most people.

Oh for sure, I'm not singling out teachers here. We don't have much snow here in London. A few mm apparently.
All the teachers i knew would stay in school until 5 or 6 most nights of the working week. Just because you (Foot long) know a couple who don't does not mean they reflect every teacher, or even the majority. They just sound like bad teachers.
Clearly it's not Alaskan crab fishing, I'm just interested to see where you would place it in terms of difficultly. I just think you are underestimating the job.It depends what you're comparing it with.
I'd say (with confidence) that their job is not as tough as many would have you believe in comparison to many professions.
