Scotland’s Greatest Night

I mean, obviously. Hendry had at least one decent half against Gascoigne whereas Maldini didn't even have a mullet.

If you're not going to debate this seriously then there's no point. Had this with mates in the pub, they refuse to see Oli McBurnie in the same bracket as the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Horrible bunch of cretins.

Guns and Roses are a decent band from the 80's but they couldn't hold the candle to music legends Wet Wet Wet.

Marti Pellow , he has the voice of an Angel.

If it's not Fairground Atttaction it's not worth debating.

Pellow was hard done by not to get at least one ballon d'or. Politics I suppose.

Heartbreaking too see.

I remember in 1989 when John Leslie became the first Scottish person to be a presenter on Blue Peter.

He was nailed on to win the Nobel Peace Price but they bloody awarded it to Mandela or the Dalai Lama.

Daylight robbery, but he got the last laugh when he presented Wheel of Fortune.

See now, that is weird. I remember celebrating his Nobel prize and cried when he dedicated it to Gorbachev.

Googled it, you're right, he was runner up twice, never won it.

Scandalous.

So to you, if you haven't won a Ballon d'Or you're not world class?

Because if so, that means the only world class player Scotland has ever had is Denis Law.

Completely negating your post below since we've had 4 individuals win it.

Keegan won it twice, in the late 70's when playing for Hamburg.

Clearly a much better player than Kenny Dogleash.

With him winning it twice it means he is twice as good as the whole of Scotland and that drunken bum who lived on a park bench.

This is my country,
The land that begat me.
These windy spaces
Are surely my own.
And those who here toil
In the sweat of their faces
Are flesh of my flesh,
And bone of my bone.
