As for the game, the pace it was played at reminded me of an old firm derby! I know it wasn't full of quality (the goal apart) but I love those type of games!

Awful game of footy that last night. Good to see Gibson get 67mins although he was bypassed by O'Neill's hoof ball tactics for most of it. Looked assured when in possession though. Coleman was quiet but had his hands full with Anya and Robertson who both looked like decent players. Again don't think the 4-4-2 helped him in anyway. McGeady was trying too hard. Made a couple of good tackles and runs but had little affect on the game. Naismith was the focal point for most of the good moves in the game and looked the best player on the pitch.

Hopefully all will be rested for the upcoming friendlies

In football terms, not this imaginary sectarianism you seem to have detected last night! Ireland fans were in amongst the Scotland fans and there wasn't a bit of bother, don't think that would happen in an old firm derby somehow!

Naismith was a constant menace, took up some great positions and the Ireland defenders struggled to pick him up! He bossed O'Shea aerially despite being a foot shorter! I can't see him being rested on Tuesday tho! It may be a friendly but it's England so both teams will want to win this
