The Everton trio are going to be vital for RoI in this game.
Long won't start regardless of how much sense it makes. Keane has, in a Gerrard-esque way, become undroppable in competitive international fixtures for us. Whelan has been pretty good for us, himself and McCarthy are a big loss. We're not expansive or attacking enough to make use of Coleman's talents.
It will be a draw. 1-1 or something like that.

It's a shame for you that Hoolihan isn't playing. He's a decent creative player who'll be missed a lot.
Crap, I didn't even realize he was ruled out. I guess he wouldn't have got his game anyway. There's been uproar over his routine omission from our team going all the way back to Trappatoni's reign, with Eamonn Dunphy at the front of the mob with a pitchfork.

Relatively speaking Hoolahan was/is Maradona & Messi rolled into one compared to watching no attack or at best a hulking average striker played out wide as part of the "attacking plan".

We're running out of McGuffins now, so maybe not. Hoolahan's a creative player, one of the few we have, and surely it would beat shoehorning Jon Walters out right where he has absolutely zero effect.
Even though I'm half Irish I want Scotland to win. I feel sorry for the real Eire supporters but you have a load of hang ons who claim to be Irish because they watched commitments years ago. Its a bit like the kopites who claimed to be Istanbul that night even though you remember them storming off from the local boozer in tears at half time.
