Gibson could be very influential. I'd fancy him to load the bullets for Keane/Long.
Keane won't do a damn thing. Unless we dress Scotland up as the Faroe Islands or San Marino or some such.
Long might get his scoring boots on for Ireland for once.
The Everton trio are going to be vital for RoI in this game.
It's a shame for you that Hoolihan isn't playing. He's a decent creative player who'll be missed a lot.Long won't start regardless of how much sense it makes. Keane has, in a Gerrard-esque way, become undroppable in competitive international fixtures for us. Whelan has been pretty good for us, himself and McCarthy are a big loss. We're not expansive or attacking enough to make use of Coleman's talents.

Crap, I didn't even realize he was ruled out. I guess he wouldn't have got his game anyway. There's been uproar over his routine omission from our team going all the way back to Trappatoni's reign, with Eamonn Dunphy at the front of the mob with a pitchfork.
he's better than some of the other donkeys who have togged outNever got that really
He's good, but not good enough for such uproar if he's not picked

There's always players that people think should play more when it comes to the National Team
If MON started playing Hoolihan, there'd be a grass roots campaign for someone else instead
