Is VAR really worth all the hassle when after spending so much money and time on it they still can'tget it right.
This isn'tthe first one they've had to apologise for and it deffo won't be the last.
Ah, but they'll tell you it was just another 'honest' mistake!! 🙄

Call me paranoid but it's Funny how in old firm games these decisions always seem to benefit the one team?

How can they make an 'honest' mistake when the incident was clearly on the line?

As for being paranoid, when I first came to Scotland Rangers were the top dogs, they seemed to have a foothold within the media and unofficially within refereeing circles whist at the same time getting all the dubious and contentious decisions.

So you can complain all you want now mate but I think it's levelled it's self out.

These things come in cycles in Glasgow though and your time will come again Ive no doubt but not before Rangers are on a parity financially.

🤣🤣🤣

When Celtic supporters used to complainant about Rangers supporting officials making bizarre decisions that always seemed to go in favour of the team they support, Rangers fans mocked them saying it was 'Parkhead Paranoia' and our officials just made 'honest mistakes'.

Now, TRFC fans are whining about a Rangers supporting ref, and a Rangers supporting VAR official getting a decision wrong, which I admit they did, and are suggesting it's not an honest mistake!

It's kinda hard to work out which decisions are honest mistakes, and which ones are corruption within the SFA, though it does seem to be the decisions that go against Rangers which are deemed corruption. 😏

The audio from these incidents should be made available to the clubs, then the public. I find it incredible it's not widely available. For me, it makes it look like the referees want to keep things hidden, so they can try to cover up any balls ups they've made.

As for the honest mistake thing, I find it hard to believe John Beaton, and Andrew Muir would deliberately cheat TRFC.

Personally, I would like to have heard the audio of the conversation that led to Silva being awarded a penalty in the 3 - 3 game last season, when the only footage shown to John Beaton completely missed out Alistair Johnston winning the ball.

Mad article this. Not even leading, just out and out clickbait.

"The Scottish Football Association have accepted Rangers were denied a crucial penalty kick in Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup final defeat against Celtic at Hampden."

Sounds good, hoping for a statement or a link to one.

"The Scotsman understands that during a discussion between new Ibrox chief executive Patrick Stewart and Willie Collum, it was admitted that a mistake was made when VAR officials failed to alert referee John Beaton that Celtic centre-half Liam Scales’ tug on Rangers winger Vaclav Cerny’s jersey occurred on the line, rather than just outside the box."

No statement there, just reportedly heard that they think they've made an error. That's fine because maybe Rangers have had a statement to confirm?

“I’ll wait to hear what the SFA have to say about that.”

Ah no, they haven't.

Glad to see you agree about the apparent frequent' honest mistakes' been made and that Rangers were robbed of a potential match winning penalty!

Easy solution would to be to bring in match officials and VAR team from outside of Scotland for Old Firm matches?

It would take away all the shouting and finger pointing regarding possible affiliations and integrity of match officials in Scotland.

Or would you have a problem with that?

Don't know who article is from tbh.

Take it you don't think it should have been a penalty then?

Won't use that word but does sound like Clement telling reporters to "dig into it"
Think he's only suggesting that the reporters ask the question as to why the Scottish refereeing and VAR officials seem to be so regularly incompetent in the job they are being paid for?
